The Problem
Five hospitals on a shared EHR wanted a unified patient-facing portal. Each had different workflows, HIPAA compliance requirements, and patient demographics. No existing portal. Zero documentation. Eight stakeholder groups with conflicting priorities.
My Approach
- 1Facilitated 20+ stakeholder sessions across 5 hospitals over 6 weeks
- 2Created a unified requirements repository in Confluence
- 3Built a compliance matrix mapping HIPAA requirements to system features
- 4Authored FRD with 150+ requirements, prioritized using MoSCoW
- 5Led UAT planning and execution with 6 testers and 80 test cases
The Outcome
Portal launched on schedule. Zero HIPAA compliance flags post-audit. Portal adoption hit 60% within 90 days, 20% above the projected target.
